The Opportunity

 

We are looking for a Business Development Associate to join Atheneum’s Global Business Development Team and covering APAC, the role is based in Shanghai, China. In this role you will be expected to accelerate Atheneum’s growth in the APAC Region by establishing, deepening and expanding relationships with new and existing clients. This is a unique chance to further strengthen Atheneum’s presence in the APAC Region and contribute to Atheneum’s dynamic global growth.  Opportunity for promotion to a Business Development Manager after two years.

 


Responsibilities


  • Research and analyze the new and existing clients to identify the most relevant companies and the most important stakeholders within the targeted accounts
  • Increase the awareness of the Atheneum brand and attractively convey Atheneum’s value proposition
  • Adhere to all Atheneum Business Development standards and processes, including a diligent usage of salesforce.com
  • Provide general assistance to the Managing Director (ie. scheduling, administrative tasks, office management and acting as communication liaison)
  • Support Business Development Mangers in the new customer acquisition and maintain business relations by conducting telephone and in-personal customer discussions, identify and qualify new customers
  • Support Business Development Manager in their business development efforts ie. line up meetings, create supplementary marketing documents for client pitches (presentations, case studies, proposals), key point of contact for client coordination

Requirements

Profile We Are Looking For

 

  • Master’s degree in Business, Finance or a relevant field
  • Relevant professional experience in the B2B Business Development/Sales field
  • Experienced professionals with experience in establishing/managing B2B relationships and effectively engaging senior-level clients
  • Strong drive and proactive mindset with the ability to work independently
  • Stellar networking skills with an ability to build strong lasting relationships
  • Hands-on mentality, solution oriented attitude with the willingness to overcome challenges
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for Atheneum’s value proposition and ability to negotiate
  • Excellent organizational skills and high standard of professionalism

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with multinational cross functional teams
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English, both spoken and written
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
