Our Opportunity:

We are seeking a Database Administrator to join our rapidly growing, innovative Tech Team. We are actively looking for a candidate who can combine excellent technical skills with advanced soft skills such as communication and an ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Pro-active system and capacity monitoring
  • Reactive response to queries and issues
  • Tuning core systems in line with business demands
  • Backups, audits and security of databases
  • Monitoring slow queries and working with developers to improve them
  • Implementing performance improvements and tuning of databases.
  • Managing and testing backup and disaster recovery strategies
  • Managing and improving database security, credentials allocation and access control

Profiles We Are Seeking:

  • 3+ years experience managing AWS Aurora Mysql and Postgres
  • 2+ years experience managing AWS Redshift
  • 3-4 years’ experience in Database Administration
  • Goal oriented, driven, and highly motivated to succeed & take on challenges
  • Quick learner and critical thinker with key focus to add value to your clients
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Python and/or Nodejs
  • AWS Lambda and Glue
  • Experience with AWS DMS
