As a Team Leader


In the client facing role you will be planning and executing fast-paced primary research projects for our private equity- and strategy consulting clients. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle and overseeing and managing a team of Researchers, Associates and Senior Associates. As a Team lead you will be proactively assessing client needs, conducting secondary research, ensuring successful project execution and building client relationships.


Team Leaders will conduct negotiations, engage in professional communication, provide client service, and receive professional development opportunities to enhance their careers in commercial and operational leadership.

In this position, you will use your discretion and judgment to evaluate and assess industry experts and the needs of Atheneum’s clients, and determine whether there are industry professionals that will be able to advance our clients’ business needs. You will conduct research to gather evaluative information about, identify and engage key industry experts using various methods of outreach, investigation & communication. Our Team Leaders play a valuable role in serving our clients’ business operations.


Key Responsibility

  • Project planning and execution – across various industries Proactively understanding client’s needs and supplementing their knowledge with secondary research findings
  • Fully responsible for client projects and client experience
  • Generating demand by building excellent client relationships
  • Managing a team of 2 – 5 researchers, associates and senior associates and ensuring team- and individual KPIs are met
  • Coaching and training team members
  • Leveraging and expanding Atheneum’s network of experts
  • Interacting with Atheneum experts to understand how they can support our client’s needs
  • Collaborating with senior members to expand client relationships and grow revenue 

Other Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects and requests while adhering to specified timelines & diverse parameters
  • Forecast client needs in order to help develop client’s business, as well as to market, promote and develop Atheneum’s services to clients

Job requirements

  • Hold an undergraduate degree (preferred majors: Business Administration, International Relations, and etc.)
  • 1-2 years of experience in an Associate/ Research position
  • Goal oriented, driven, and highly motivated to succeed & take on challenges
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements in a young and growing firm
  • Quick learner with key focus to understand niche industries & add value to your clients on matters of importance to their businesses
  • Willingness to exercise discretion and think critically
  • Ability to conduct research, analyze data, and make independent decisions
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely in both verbal and written form
  • Enjoy working both autonomously and with a team
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
